Meet the Pastor

Pastor Lance is a native of Georgia, raised in Winter Haven, Florida. He has been married to the former Bonnie Barnard of Mount Airy, Maryland, since 1993. They have four children: Caleb, Sarah, Lindsay, and Jonathan.

A graduate of Winter Haven High School in 1987, Pastor Lance earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Samford University, Birmingham, AL, in 1991 and a Masters of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX, in 1995. He pastored a church in south central Kentucky for over five years before coming to Liberty. He has served as Liberty's pastor since November 1, 2003.

Pastor Lance's prayer for Liberty and those to whom Liberty ministers is that they "may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God."
